By valeri On August 4, 2010 Under Freelance

Blogging is fast developing into one of the most powerful ways for network marketers to generate leads and gain exposure for their opportunity. In case you aren’t familiar with the wonderful world of blogging, a blog is a weblog–a place where you post unique, original content that is centered around your interests and expertise.

What we are seeing in the network marketing industry is that the top leaders are blogging like crazy because they know how powerful it is for their business.

Allow me to share with you a few blogging strategies that will help you grow your business.

1. Create a proper foundation– Make sure your blog is set up correctly from the start. My advise is to use a wordpress blog, as all the top bloggers agree that it is the best service with all the features you are going to need.

Google loves wordpress blogs, meaning that they get ranked high for organic search listings. In order to ensure that this happens, you want to have your blog set up by a wordpress expert. Yes, you can do it yourself, but you will be harming yourself in the long run.

There are many littledetails to the installation process that only a wordpress wizard will know. If someone tells you they can build you a beautiful wordpress blog for $150, you should be skeptical. Dont’ cut corners. Your blog will turn out to be your main vehicle for creating financial freedom. Make sure the best plugins are installed within your blog. It should look attractive and highly professional.

2. Brand yourself. People want who you are before they want your product or company. Sell yourself. Position yourself as an expert who can help other network marketers succeed. Your warm market is other home-based business owners; not your friends and family.

Self-branding is really the key to drawing in highly targeted, motivated prospects on the front end. You will offer them tremendous value through your blog content so you can build trust. Then you can skillfully show them your primary company on the backend. Often times, they will just ask, ‘How can I be a part of what you’re doing?’

When you hear this question, you know you’re on the right track.

3. Write a new blog post with content that is inspiring, valuable, relevant and totally original every single day for the next 50 days. Post something related to your industry every single day. Offer helpful tips, inspiring messages, and powerful suggestions. Be a source of utter value to your leads.

After you create your blog post, you always want to take some extra steps to generate traffic to your blog or website. You can use the onlywire plugin to submit your blog post to 15 social bookmarking sites like digg.com. You can create a short video of your blog and use a video distribution service to spread your video content all over the video and podcasting sites. Then of course you can slightly modify your original blog entry and sumit it to the biggest online article directories.
I can guarantee you–this is the most systematic and precise way to solve your biggest problem–exposure. For some crazy reason, not many MLM associates are doing this.

The key here is to be consistent! Post something all of the time–even when you don’t feel like it. Please, don’t be one of those lame types to post a couple entries and expect miracles. In all honesty, you shouldn’t evaluate the results of your blogging efforts until a full 90 days have passed.

If you are strapped for cash, this system is the way to go. It does take a couple hours every day to make it work, but hey, it’s free traffic! You just can’t lose.

What are you waiting for? Get out there and blog to your heart’s content! It will offer you huge rewards if you stick with it over the next few months.
